Jatiya Party has suspended its rally and protest march planned for tomorrow (Saturday) outside its central office in the capital's Kakrail area.
The announcement was made in a press release on Friday night, according to local media.
The decision came two hours after Dhaka Metropolitan Police issued a notice prohibiting all gatherings, processions, and demonstrations in front of the Jatiya Party office and nearby areas. The ban follows escalating tensions between Jatiya Party and Fasibad Birodhi Chhatra Sramik Janata amidst a standoff over the planned rally.
