Resignation letter bears no significance as Hasina ousted through revolution: Hasnat Abdullah

Hasnat Abdullah, a coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, sees no significance in Sheikh Hasina’s resignation letter as she was ousted as prime minister through a revolution.

“An illegal government was ousted through a mass revolution. In this case, a resignation letter doesn’t play any role,” said Hasnat Abdullah in a Facebook post on Monday.

He came up with the statement amid reports on President Mohammed Shahabuddin’s interview with Manab Zamin Editor Matiur Rahman Chowdhury. In the interview, the head of the state said he doesn’t have any documented evidence of the resignation of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
