Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, a prominent leader of the BNP, alleges that the government is responsible for recent political unrest on Wednesday morning while participating in a procession with fellow party members to mark the commencement of a new 48-hour nationwide blockade in Dhaka.

Rizvi accused of coordinating party activities from a 'hideout', was spotted with 10 to 12 activists near the Uttara House Building area around 7:30 a.m., as bdnews24.com reports.

The senior joint general secretary of the BNP attributed the ongoing 'anarchy' to the government and implored everyone to remain vigilant.

Rizvi headed a gathering of approximately 30 leaders and activists near Taltala Pallima Sangsad in Khilgaon, to advocate for the BNP's exclusive call to replace the Awami League administration with an impartial caretaker government before the forthcoming elections. He further announced the party’s programmes virtually since the arrest of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
