Government primary schools across the country will resume classes on Sunday (August 4), according to a joint decision made by the Primary and Mass Education Ministry and the Directorate of Primary Education on Wednesday.
However, primary schools located within the 12 city corporations and the Narsingdii municipality area will remain closed for now.
The notification specifies that while the overall class schedule remains unchanged, district primary education officers will have the authority to adjust class timings based on local curfew restrictions.
Following clashes during the protests demanding quota reforms, primary schools were indefinitely closed on July 17 to ensure the safety of students.
