Students and jobseekers demanding reform in the quota system in government jobs issued a 24-hour ultimatum on Sunday for the withdrawal of a case filed against them on charges of vandalising police vehicles during their protest.

The coordinators of the anti-quota movement told reporters after submitting their single-demand memorandum to the Military Secretary to the President (MSP) at Bangabhaban.

They also urged the government to take visible actions to fulfill their demands and warned of tougher movement if the case is not withdrawn within the next 24 hours.
