Quota protesters lift Shahbagh blockade after four hours

Students and job seekers demanding the abolition of the quota system lifted their blockade at Shahbagh in the capital after 4 hours and 15 minutes on Sunday.

While ending the blockade around 8pm, they announced that they would resume their blockade programme on Monday, targeting various key areas of Dhaka, including Shahbagh.

Earlier, at 3:20pm, hundreds of students and job seekers took out a procession at Dhaka University.

They marched through various streets of the campus before blocking the Shahbagh intersection around 4pm.
