Quota protesters have withdrawn their blockade at the Purana Paltan intersection after three and a half hours.
They ended the blockade at 7:30pm.
Earlier around 4pm, hundreds of students and job seekers started blocking the intersection, bringing traffic to a halt.
The quota protests erupted after the High Court declared a 2008 government circular illegal, reinstating the quota in government jobs.
The demonstrations have intensified since July 5, when the Supreme Court upheld the High Court verdict.
