Quota protests: BAU students block tracks on Dhaka-Mymensingh rail route

Students of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh railway line on Monday to protest the reinstatement of the quota system in first and second-class government jobs.

They started the demonstration with a procession at 1:30pm today from the university’s Abdul Jabbar intersection.

The blockade delayed the movement of the Jamalpur-bound Jamalpur Express for around 2 hours, causing the suffering of hundreds of passengers.
