Rail services resumed late this afternoon following a disruption of over five hours caused by a protest by students of Titumir College.

The Mohonganj Express departed the platform at 4:30 PM from Kamalapur marking the restoration of train schedules.

Shortly afterward, the Turag Commuter was scheduled to depart, while the Banalata Express successfully entered the platform, indicating a gradual normalization of operations.

The disruption occurred as students of Titumir College seized control of rail tracks and roads earlier in the day. The students were demonstrating to demand that their college be upgraded to a full-fledged university. Their actions caused significant delays and inconvenience for passengers relying on rail transport.
