Railway recruitment exam to be cancelled if evidence of question leak found, says PSC chairman

The recruitment examination for the post of railway engineer under the Ministry of Railways will be cancelled if significant evidence is found regarding the leaked question papers, Chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) Sohorab Hossain has said.

“While allegations of question paper leaks have been around for a while, investigating such claims from 12 years ago would be very difficult at this point. However, we will take immediate action to cancel the Railway recruitment exam conducted on July 5 if the current allegations are proven. There's no room for doubt on that," he said.

The PSC Chairman made the remarks in response to questions from reporters at his office in the PSC building on Tuesday.

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has formed a three-member committee to investigate allegations of question paper leaks in various government job examinations conducted by the commission, he said, adding that the committee's findings will determine further actions.
