Resigning, CEC Habibul Awal urges elections under caretaker govt

Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul resigned on Thursday, calling for future general elections to be held under a non-partisan caretaker government.

In a farewell briefing, Awal suggested that elections should be conducted in phases, with intervals between voting.

His written speech, which spanned more than 700 words, included recommendations based on his experience.
