Sakhawat Hossain removed as home affairs advisor

Brig Gen (Retd) M Sakhawat Hossain has been removed from his position as home affairs advisor.

Lt Gen (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has been named as his successor and will now oversee both the home and agriculture ministries.

Meanwhile, Mr Hossain has been appointed as the jutes and textiles advisor.

The council has also assigned portfolios to four newly appointed advisers and allocated additional responsibilities to seven existing advisers.
