A group of retired military officers has urged the government to remove the armed forces from the streets and send them back to their barracks amid the current crisis.
They made the statement at a briefing at the RAOWA Club in Dhaka’s Mohakhali DOHS area.
The former chief of army staff Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan delivered the main address in the briefing attended by 30 retired officers including Brig Gen M Sakhawat Hossain, Brig Gen Shahedul Anam Khan, and the former Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen M Nuruddin Khan.
