Chattagram Metropolitan Police have detained at least six people as suspects in the murder of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif after identifying them from video footage.
The information was shared on Wednesday by the chief adviser’s office through a verified Facebook page.
“The CMP has also detained 21 people for vandalism and assaults on police during clashes on Tuesday. Six members of Awami League and the outlawed Chhatra League were also arrested with homemade improvised explosives (cocktails) in the port city,” the post says.
