Six-storey building on Bailey Road catches fire

A fire has broken out at a six-storey building on Bailey Road in Dhaka city.

The blaze began in the Green Cottage building, which houses several restaurants and shops, at around 9:45 pm, according to local media reports.

Anwarul Islam, an officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) central media cell, said they heard of the fire originating in the Kachchi Bhai restaurant and dispatched 10 fire service units to extinguish the fire.
