State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak has warned of strict actions against mobile operators for call drops from July 1 (Monday).
The state minister said this in a meeting held at the BTRC building in the capital’s Aagargaon area on Sunday, according to local media outlets.
“Mobile phone users are dissatisfied with call drops. According to the BTRC, the quality of service is not very satisfactory. In this case, we will not spare anyone. I will take action against cold drops from July 1. No matter the city or village, we will take into account the media reports and conduct drives there”, he said at the meeting.
Palak further stated that he won’t be satisfied until significant feedback on call drops from customers and journalists is gathered, regardless of what mobile operators say about call drops, in the next six months.
