The Anti-discrimination Student Movement has accused government advisors of trying to rehabilitate deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina and warned they will remove these advisors if such attempts continue.

The statement came during a rally at Dhaka University's Raju Sculpture on Monday afternoon, where the movement also demanded that the interim government bring charges against Hasina at the International Crimes Tribunal, naming her as the main suspect, reports bdnews24.com.

The accusations came after Home Affairs Advisor M Sakhawat Hussain called for Hasina’s return to the country.

Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the movement, said, “Some advisors are speaking about rehabilitating ‘murderers’.”

“We want to remind them that they became advisors through a student-citizen uprising.”

“Therefore, when making any statements, they should remember the scene of the Ganabhaban on the 5th of August.”

“Those who want to rehabilitate the autocrat Hasina, the ‘murderer’, we will not hesitate to remove them from their positions just as we have made them advisors,” he added.
