Students' Union demands scholarships for Palestinian students

The Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit the Bangladesh Students' Union condemned Israel's action in Palestine, describing it as genocide.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the organisation also called for international solidarity and demanded full scholarships for Palestinian students at JU and other higher educational institutions of Bangladesh.

Signed by unit President Amartya Roy and General Secretary Riddha Anindya Ganguly, the statement says it is the duty of all global citizens to support Palestine's people in their struggle and to foster international solidarity.

They urged all public universities in Bangladesh, including Jahangirnagar University, to offer full scholarships to Palestinian students, as part of their efforts to support Palestine amid ongoing challenges.
