Three advisers to the interim government have reached Rangamati to monitor the situation amid unrest in the hilly region.
Home Affairs Adviser Lt. Gen. Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Ministry Adviser Suprodip Chakma and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Adviser AF Hassan Arif reached Rangamati circuit house on Saturday morning through a helicopter from Dhaka.
They will hold meetings with government officials, local political leaders and civil society members to discuss measures to restore law and order.
