Three journalists from The Financial Express (FE) on Sunday received the BCCCI-ERF (Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Economic Reporters Forum) Journalism Award for 2023.
They are Special Correspondents Doulot Akter Mala, Jasim Uddin Haroon and FHM Humayan Kabir.
Doulot Akter Mala won the first prize for Best Reporting Award in the ‘Science and Technology (opportunities of technology transfer between Bangladesh and China, AI, Fourth Industrial Revolution, etc.) category' for her report titled ‘Lack of skilled recipients limits tech transfers’.
Jasim Uddin Haroon won the second prize for Best Reporting Award in the 'How China's high-quality development policy aided Bangladesh' category for his report titled ‘Plan to boost rural economy with tea, coffee tourism’.
FHM Humayan Kabir won the second prize for Best Reporting Award in the ‘Others (such as blue-economy, tourism, culture, education, and hospitality industry, etc.) category’ for his report titled ‘China Offering Higher Education, Jobs Chances’.
The awards ceremony took place at the Sonargaon Hotel in the capital, Dhaka, with State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
