Three friends were killed in a road accident on the Noakhali-Feni regional road in Dagonbhuiyan upazila of Feni district on Monday night.
The deceased were identified as Antar Gosh, 18, of Jugidia village in Noakhali’s Companiganj upazila, Sourav Gopal, 23, of Alipur village in Begumganj upazila, and Debu Boishab, 21, of Birahimpur village in Companiganj, reports UNB.
The accident occurred in the Asharfpur area near Bakerbazar when they lost control of the motorcycle while returning home from Feni and hit a tree log.
Soon after the accident, a speeding vehicle ran over the friends, leaving two of them—Sourav and Debu—dead on the spot.
Injured Antar was rushed to Feni General Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
Md Harunur Rashid, officer-in-charge of Mohipal Highway Police Station, said that law enforcement recovered two bodies from the accident spot.
The bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy, and legal formalities were underway.
