Two motorbike riders were killed on the spot when a passengers bus knocked them down in Avoya Kamarpara area on the Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj Highway in Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district on Friday.
Police sources said the deceased were Ashraful Islam, 42, son of Humayun Kabir, and Nazmul Haque, 30, son of Muhammad Kalu Mian, both of Kamalakantapur Kazipara village in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district, reports BSS.
Moazzem Hossain, officer-in-charge of Godagari Police station, said Ashraful and Nazmul fell prey to the fatal road accident while they were returning to their houses from Rajshahi riding on the motorbike.
