Police have recovered the body of an unidentified man from the Shahid Farooq Road in the Jatrabari area of Dhaka.
The identity of the deceased, aged around 35, could not be ascertained immediately. According to locals, the deceased appeared to be a homeless person.
Md. Kaisar Hossain, sub-inspector (SI) of Jatrabari Police Station, said they found the body in front of Dhaka Bank on Shahid Farooq Road around 1:15 am and later sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.
The exact cause of death will be confirmed after receiving the post-mortem report, police said. Further investigation is underway.
