Senior journalist, storyteller, and permanent member of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) M Wahidullah has passed away. He was 72.
He breathed his last around 2:10 pm on Thursday. He was buried in the Banani Graveyard in Dhaka after his namaz-e-janaza on Friday.
He was given a guard of honour after namaz-e-janaza at Jatiya Press Club.
Wahidullah left behind his wife, a son, two daughters, and a host of colleagues and admirers.
Dhaka Reporters Unity President Mursalin Nomani and General Secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel expressed grief and sorrow on behalf of the DRU Executive Committee.
Bangladesh Awami League’s Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, JPC General Secretary Shyamal Dutta, Chattogram Samity, Dhaka leaders, CJFD leaders, and DRU leaders were present at his namaz-e-janaza. They paid last respect to him by placing wreaths at his coffin.
