A coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, Nahid Islam, has said they have no plans to hold dialogue with the government on their movement.
Local news portals said the coordinator disclosed their stance regarding the protests on Saturday amid reports of the government’s efforts to initiate talks with them.
Nahid Islam also said they got a proposal of dialogue when they were in ‘custody’ of the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
“But, we refused the proposal and staged a hunger strike protesting it,” he said.
