Youngone Corporation, one of South Korea's largest industrial companies, has launched a Tk 10-million scholarship programme for students of BBA, BSc in Computer Science and Engineering and BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Chittagong Independent University (CIU).
The selected students will get the opportunity to study free of cost. The scholarship will also provide students with special mentorship programme, internship opportunities, higher education at Korean universities, and job guarantees.
The scholarship programme is being implemented as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed between CIU and Youngone Corporation in February.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) of CIU Professor Dr. M. M. Nurul Absar said, "This scholarship is not just a financial aid, but will also serve as a bridge for our students to enter the global corporate world."
