Bangladesh has entered the arena of Starlink, a high-speed satellite internet service provided by American technology giant SpaceX, ensuring smooth data connectivity everywhere.
On 18th July (Friday), the official announcement of Starlink's launch was made at a press conference in Hotel Intercontinental, Dhaka.
The arrival of Starlink in Bangladesh is hoped to create opportunities, particularly in the business sector, which may lead to the development of more economic hubs across the country, extending beyond metropolitan areas.
As the high speed of the internet will be the same in both urban and rural areas, as well as in hilltracts, jungles, or other adverse sites, the dwellers of those places will enjoy the fast pace of internet service wherever they live, which will enhance the quality of life for the people.
Now, how can I set up a Starlink connection at home or the office? Although Starlink has begun its journey in Bangladesh, the system is still not ready for large-scale operations. However, users will need to follow a specific process to establish a Starlink connection at their home or office.
First, the user must visit the official Starlink website (www.starlink.com), where they will find a menu to enter their address, which is where the Starlink connection will be set up.
After that, the user will be notified whether the given address is within their network's coverage area or not.
If this is not the case, the user may have to wait for the connection, and their information will be kept on the website's waiting list.
If that location is worth having that network connection, then the person will be able to subscribe or pre-order their services.
At that particular moment, the person can order a Starlink kit, which will be a package containing a dish antenna, router, cable, power supply, and a mount.
The dish antenna should be positioned in an open area and oriented towards the sun. After that, the router should be set up, and the connection can be made through a mobile application or a web interface. Thus, a user can enjoy the Starlink satellite internet network at their office or home.
The Starlink network provides equal services to all users, regardless of location, resulting in a higher level of user satisfaction worldwide.
Even in remote areas such as hills, seashores, or jungles, internet speed remains the same as in cities or towns, enabling residents to enjoy a higher level of internet services at their offices or homes.

Bangladesh has currently signed the agreement to deal with the Starlink network with the respective authority. In the initial stage, users may face difficulties due to logistical limitations or a lack of experience. However, in the long run, it is expected to enhance the service.
