Members of the armed forces and other law enforcement agencies will help Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) in ensuring its security.
BSEC Chairman Khondoker Rashed Maqsood held a meeting with the representatives of armed forces and different law enforcement agencies in this regard on Sunday.
“Armed forces will be responsible for the security of BSEC as it has been classified as a critical information infrastructure (CII) by the government,” the regulator said in a statement on Monday.
The meeting was held following protests outside of the BSEC office over the recent decline in the stock market.
