The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Regulator (BSEC) has reduced share trading time by an hour during the holy month of Ramadan.
The country's bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)-- will open at 9:30 am instead of 10:00 am and will close at 1:30 pm instead of 2:20 pm during the Ramadan.
The 10-minute post-closing session will run from 1:30 pm to 1:40 pm, instead of 2:20 pm to 2:30 pm according to a BSEC statement issued on Monday.
The bourses will return to the normal trading hours once the holy month comes to an end.
