Abu Shadat Mohammad Shahin has recently joined as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of IIDFC PLC, according to a press release Tuesday.
Mr Shahin has more than 24 years of professional exposure in the banking industry in various capacities. He started his career with Arab Bangladesh Bank Limited as a Probationary Officer and performed different roles there in different departments. Prior to joining IIDFC, he worked for Arab Bangladesh (AB) Bank, BRAC Bank, Midland Bank, IIDFC, IPDC Finance and Uttara Finance in Bangladesh.
Mr Shahin’s experience in branch banking, CRM, SME, Emerging Corporate as well as Large Corporate business, facilitated him to understand and serve the market profitably and sustainably. He received a number of awards for his performance during his career with different organisations, added the release.
He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Jahangirnagar University. He also completed the Advanced Certification in Business Administration (ACBA) from IBA, University of Dhaka, and the Banking Diploma (Parts I &II) from The Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (IBB).
Mr Shahin also attended numerous trainings, workshops, and seminars on Credit Risk, Corporate Finance, MSME financing, Loan structuring, International Trade, Ethical Banking, Green Financing, and Leadership at home and abroad.
