Mr. Abul Quasem Haider has been elected as the Chairman of Islamic Finance and Investment Limited (IFIL).
The decision came during the 350th meeting of the Board of Directors of IFIL held on September 5, 2024, according to a media release.
He is one of the founder Chairman of “Youth Group” one of the reputed business house in the country. He is also founder Chairman of Abul Quasem Haider Mohila Madrasa and Sekander Safia Islamia Dakhil Madrasa. Presently, he is the Chairman of Youth Spinning Mills Limited, Youth Hatchery & Agro Ltd., Youth Real Estate Ltd., Multimode Resource Ltd., and Chowdhury Apparel (Pvt) Ltd. He is the founder Chairman of Australian International School, Eastern University and Islamic Finance and Investment Limited. He is a sponsor Director of Islamic Finance and Investment Limited. . He is the former Vice-President of FBCCI, BGMEA and BTMA. He achieved Ph.D degree from Edward University, USA.
Mr. Abul Quasem Haider is the author of many books related to business and social development. He is the editor of Dainik Ajker Awaz and weekly Panorama. He is also the proprietor of a publication house named Lekhalekhi.
Mr. Abul Quasem Haider is the founder Chairman of Sekander Safia Foundation and Youth Foundation. He is also founder of Abul Quasem Haider Mohila College, Sandwip and Sekander Safia Dakhil Madrasa, Sandwip. Apart from that he is a life member of Chattogram Samity, Dhaka, Bangla Academy, Dhaka, Asiatic Society and Sandwip Samity, Dhaka and lifetime Registered Graduate of Dhaka University. Mr. Abul Quasem Haider was former Founder Vice Chairman of Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh.
He achieved many awards like Palak award 1998, CIP medal 1998, Atish Dipankar Medal 2001. He is also the founder of many Masjid, Madrasa, School, College and Social welfare institutions. Mr. Abul Quasem Haider was senate member of Dhaka University during 2003-2005.
