Bus registration in the country witnessed a significant rise in 2019 compared to that of 2018.
A total of 3,606 buses were registered in 2019 while the number was 2,755 in 2018, according to statistics provided by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).
2,951 buses got registration in Dhaka in 2019 while it was 2,322 in 2018, the BRTA data showed.
3,760 in 2017 and 3,833 in 2016 were registered with the transport regulator, added the statistics.
