DBCCI's new president Mamun, secretary Risalat

Vice Chairman of Bhaiya Group Shakawat Hosain Mamun has been elected as the new president of the Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the 2025-27 term, and Chairman of The Man of Steel Analyzen Bangladesh Ltd Dr Muhammad Risalat Siddique as the secretary, according to a press release.

In addition, Md Kazi Aftabur Rahman has been elected as Senior Vice President; Md Shahid Alam, First Vice President; Meherun Islam, Second Vice President; Md Haroon-ur-Rashid, Joint Secretary; Sumaiya Noor Chowdhury, Finance Director; Md Sayem Faroky, Director (Editor and Publisher of Daily Rupali Bangladesh and Proprietor of Sayem Trade International); Md Mazharul Haque Chowdhury, Director (Chairman of Haves Media Group); Noafel Bin Reza, Director; Engineer Razeeb Haider, Director; Md Kawser Hossain, Director; Abdul Hakim (Sumon), Director; Shah Mohammad Rafkhat Afser, Director; and Md Khandakar Imranur Islam, Director.

Mamun, also Chairman of Bhaiya Apparels Ltd, Natural Rice Bran Oil Ltd and Sigma Systems Ltd, is Managing Director of Pacific Consumer Group. He is also a member of various business organisations, including Dhaka Chamber of Commerce, BASIS, E-Commerce Association, China-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, BGMEA (Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association), BAPA.

He previously served as the 2016 National President of Junior Chamber International, the largest youth organisation in Bangladesh. He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Junior Chamber.
