Aiming to enhance investor knowledge and promote informed decision-making in Bangladesh’s capital market, EBL Securities PLC, one of the top-tier brokerage firms, organised an “Investor Awareness Program” on Sunday.
The session was conducted by the EBL Securities research team held at its Head Office premises in Motijheel.
The program has been reinitiated under the guidance of EBL Securities' senior management, reinforcing the company’s continued commitment to guide investors in making informed investment decisions, says a statement.
Mohammad Rehan Kabir (Head of Research) who expounded on topics such as current macroeconomic scenario and its impact on the Bangladesh’s capital market, recent market developments, investment guidelines, benefits of long-term investment in fundamental stocks, risk management strategies etc, and concluded with an interactive question & answer session, presented a keynote paper.
“The capital market of Bangladesh is well-positioned to mirror the trends experienced in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, where easing inflation and declining treasury yields triggered strong market rallies. With improving macroeconomic indicators, Bangladesh now stands at the threshold of a potential bull market,” said Mr Kabir.
EBL Securities reaffirmed its plan to organise similar programs in frequent intervals to empower investors, strengthen financial literacy and contribute to the sustainable development of Bangladesh’s capital market.
As a fully owned subsidiary of Eastern Bank PLC, EBL Securities has established itself as one of the most preferred brokerage houses for both local and international investors.
With a strong emphasis on compliance, extensive research coverage, and technology-driven, customised brokerage solutions, the company continues to set industry benchmarks in client service and market expertise.
The program was also attended by members of the research team — Md Rashedur Rahman Ratul, Rayhan Ahmed, AKM Arif Uzzaman and Zuhaier Shams — along with other senior executives of the brokerage firm.
