Express Insurance elects new chairman, vice chairman

The Board of Directors of Express Insurance Ltd, in its 313th meeting held on 01 July, unanimously elected Mazakat Harun as chairman and ABM Kaiser as vice chairman of the company, according to a media statement Tuesday.

Mr Mazakat Harun is a director of Express Insurance Limited. He was the chairman of the company from 2012 to 2015. Mr Harun is a sponsor shareholder and former director of EXIM Bank PLC. He is also the chairman and managing director of M/s. Aaron Denim Ltd. and M/s. Chemitan Ltd. Mr Harun has also been the president of the Bangladesh Chemicals Importers & Merchants Association (BCIMA) since 2015 and a GB member of FBCCI. 

Mr ABM Kaiser is a director of Express Insurance Limited (EIL). Beforehand, he was the chairman of the Claim Committee of the company. He is the general member of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Bangladesh Indenting Agents Association. Mr Kaiser was the chairman and managing director of Gumti Textiles Limited and Gumti Apparels Limited. He was also a director of the Bangladesh Indenting Association. At present, he is running his own business named M/s. Kaiser Trading Company.
