Former FBCCI presidents extend support for Mahbubul Alam as its next president

Former presidents of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) have extended their support to Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Mahbubul Alam as the new president of the apex trade body for the 2023-25 tenure, says a press release.

Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin MP, a former FBCCI president, announced the name of Mahbubul Alam at a programme titled "Developing Smart Leadership to Create Smart Economy" at a hotel in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman, also a former FBCCI president, attended the event as the chief guest. FBCCI President Md Jashim Uddin and former presidents Mahbubur Rahman, AK Azad, Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, Mir Nasir Hossain, and Abdul Awal Mintoo also extended their support to Mr Alam. Other business leaders attending the event also backed Mahbubul Alam as the next president of the FBCCI.
