Four establishments of Ispahani Group win Green Factory Award 2023

Three tea gardens and one export-oriented textile mill of Ispahani Group have been honoured with the Green Factory Award for 2023, says a media statement on Sunday.

In the tea category, ‘Mirzapore Tea Garden’, ‘Zareen Tea Garden’, and ‘Ghazipore Tea Garden’and in the textile category, 'Pahartali Textile and Hosiery Mills' have been awarded 'Green Factory Award 2023'.

The Ministry of Labor and Employment Affairs has presented this award in acknowledgment of the organisation's commitment to ensuring a labour-friendly and safe working environment.

The Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments, under the Ministry of Labor and Employment Affairs, has awarded the 'Green Factory Award-2023' to 29 factories/organisations across 12 domestic sectors.

The award ceremony took place at the Bangabandhu International Convention Center (BICC) on Sunday (April 28).

Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad, Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while State Minister for Labor and Employment, freedom fighter Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, attended as the special guest. Labour and Employment Secretary, Md Mahbub Hossain, presided over the function.

Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury handed over the awards to Mirza Ahmed Ispahani, Director of M M Ispahani Limited, Mr Golam Mustafa, COO-GMTE and Mr Mahbubul Alam, COO-PTHM.
