The prices of gold in the country's local market witnessed a fall on Saturday as the Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (Bajus) reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 1,295 per bhori (11.664 grammes).
The new rate for the precious metal will come into effect on Sunday (June 9), BAJUS said in a press release, attributing the adjustment to a decrease in pure gold prices in the local market.
According to the latest tariff, 22-carat gold will be sold at Tk 115,882 per bhori, 21-carat at Tk 110,660, 18-carat at Tk 94,817, and traditional gold at Tk 78,382 per bhori.
