The price of gold in Bangladesh has surged once again.
The price of the best quality gold, 22-carat, has risen by Tk 1,154 per bhori (11.664 grams), bringing the new price to Tk 138,708.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has attributed the latest hike to a rise in the price of refined gold in the local market.
The new rate will come into effect from Thursday, BAJUS said in a statement on Wednesday.
