The price of premium-quality gold has increased by Tk 1,603 per bhori in Bangladesh as local jewellers revised the rate upward on Sunday.
The new rate of the precious metal will come into effect from Monday, the Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) said in a statement.
As per the revised rate, 22-carat gold will be sold at Tk 118,891 per bhori (11.664 grams).
BAJUS attributed this increase to the price hike of pure gold in the local market.
