The prices of gold have been revised downward again for the sixth time in a row due to a fall in the prices of pure gold in the local market.

Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (Bajus) on Monday reduced the prices of 22-carat gold by Tk 1,115, fixing the prices of the high-quality gold per bhori (11.664 grammes) at Tk 1,11,461.

The new rate would come into effect at 4pm on Monday, Bajus said in a statement.

The price of 21-carat gold has been set at Tk 1,06,399 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 91,201 per bhori, and traditional gold at Tk 75,839 per bhori, according to the latest decision taken by local jewellers.

However, the prices of silver remained unchanged.
