IBBL holds webinar on Shari‘ah awareness

Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC organised a webinar on ‘Compliance of Shari‘ah in Banking Operations’ recently.

Dr Tanveer Ahmad, vice chairman of the bank addressed the webinar as chief guest.

Presided over by Mohammed Monirul Moula, managing director of the bank, Mawlana Obaid Ullah Hamzah, chairman, Shari‘ah Supervisory Committee of the bank addressed the webinar as chief discussant.

Dr Mohammad Abdus Samad, member secretary of Shari`ah Supervisory Committee addressed as special guest.

Muhammad Qaisar Ali, additional managing director addressed the welcome speech while Md Shamsuddoha, executive vice president presented key note on the topic.

JQM Habibullah, FCS & Md Altaf Hossain, additional managing directors, Mohammed Shabbir, Kazi Md Rezaul Karim, Miftah Uddin & Dr Md Abdullah Al Mamun, deputy managing directors, Taher Ahmed Chowdhury, CAMLCO and Md Nazrul Islam, principal of IBTRA along with executives and officials of head office, IBTRA & eight corporate Branches attended the webinar.
