Islami Bank holds webinar on Shari’ah compliance in banking operations

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL)'s Dhaka Zone organised a webinar titled ‘Compliance of Shari`ah in Banking Sector’ on Saturday.

Professor Dr Mohammad Saleh Jahur, chairman of the risk management committee of the bank, addressed the webinar as chief guest.

Muhammad Qaisar Ali, managing director (current charge), addressed the function as a special guest, while Dr Monzur-E-Elahi, member secretary of the Shari`ah supervisory committee of the bank, addressed the programme as chief discussant, says a media release.

Mahmudur Rahman, senior executive vice president & head of Dhaka central zone, presided over the function.

Md. Shamsuddoha, senior executive vice president of Shari‘ah secretariat, presented a key note on the topic.

Sikder Md. Shehabuddin, executive vice president and head of the Dhaka South Zone, addressed the welcome speech.

Executives and officials under the Dhaka Central, North, South & East Zone of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC attended the webinar.
