ICMAB hosts workshop on use of artificial intelligence

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) recently organised a workshop on the "Use of Artificial Intelligence".

The event took place at the ICMAB Ruhul Quddus Auditorium, ICMA Bhaban in Dhaka’s Nilkhet on Friday, according to a press release.

This insightful workshop aimed to enlighten ICMAB members on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance individual and business productivity.

The workshop was led by two distinguished Resource Persons: Lieutenant Colonel Rakibul Hassan (Retd), Group Chief Technology Officer at Link3 Technologies Limited, and Mr Mustafa Mahmud Hussain, Chief Engineering Officer and Managing Director of Cloud Systems Ltd Mr Hussain demonstrated how generative AI can function in a thought partner mode, while Lieutenant Colonel Hassan elucidated how generative AI develops predictive models to generate suggestive actions.

 Vice-President of ICMAB, Mr Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, FCMA, Founder & Managing Director of Buildcon Consultancies Ltd, expressed his gratitude to all participants for their engagement in the workshop. He emphasised the importance for CMA professionals to continually update their skills to maintain the relevance of the CMA designation and encouraged learning how to work smarter using artificial intelligence.

Mr Md Akhtaruzzaman, FCMA, Vice-President of ICMAB, extended his thanks to all participants in his vote of thanks. The Treasurer of ICMAB, Mr Abdul Matin Patwary, FCMA, introduced the resource persons and warmly welcomed the audience at the beginning of the event.

Among the attendees were Mr Md Maksudur Rahman, FCMA, Council Member of ICMAB, along with a large number of Fellow and Associate Members who witnessed the workshop. The event was a testament to ICMAB's commitment to equipping its members with cutting-edge knowledge and skills essential for navigating the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence.
