With the aim of creating an efficient and strong startup ecosystem as well as increasing the skills of entrepreneurs and youth, the Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) Project of the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) under the ICT Division of the Bangladesh government has organised a skill development training programme titled 'IDEA Academic Program June 24 Cohort'.
Under the initiative of the iDEA project and in collaboration with Student to Startup (S2S) Ventures Limited, the training programme started in May 2024 on three important topics, including iDEA Basics 101, Value System 101 and Startup 301, according to a media release.
From idea validation and business model design to finance, accounting, legal, and marketing, these courses are taught hands-on to the entrepreneurs, thereby helping the participants build a complete startup business by increasing their skills and knowledge.
The application process to participate in this free training started in April of this year and continued until May 5, 2024.
Out of 942 applications, 37 trainees in Idea Basics 101, 34 trainees in Value System 101, and 42 trainees in Startup 301 were finally offered the opportunity through interviews, the release says.
Experienced and skilled mentors from different levels of the country conducted sessions on different topics in the month-long training programme for entrepreneurs and youth.
After the final evaluation at the end of the training, the participants will receive a certificate of completion of the training.
The organising authority is planning to hand over the certificates to the trainees on Thursday, June 13, 2024, the release adds.
