Int'l Jewellery Machinery Expo kicks off on July 04

Local jewellers are going to organise International Jewellery Machinery Expo for the first time in the country, aiming to enrich the domestic jewellery industry and tap export potential of the Bangladeshi ornaments in the global market.

The three-day exhibition with the theme of technological touch in jewellery will be launched by the Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BAJUS) at the city's International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) on July 04.

More than 30 companies from 10 countries including India, Italy, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Germany, China and Thailand will exhibit jewellery machineries at the event.

In order to successfully implement Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Vision-2041, BAJUS planned the 'International Jewellery Machinery Exhibition-2024' for the first time in the country's history, organisers told a press conference at the Bashundhra City Shopping Complex in the capital on Monday.

Central leaders of BAJUS and foreign partners of the exhibition briefed media about the upcoming exhibition at the press meet.

BAJUS general secretary Badal Chandra Roy, former president Dilip Kumar Roy, vice-president Samit Ghosh Apu, adviser Ruhul Amin Rasel and KNC Services founder CEO Kranti Nagvekar were present at the briefing.

BAJUS hopes that the exhibition through showcasing modern machineries from different countries will encourage entrepreneurs to set up new jewellery factories in Bangladesh.

Six companies from India are participating in this exhibition- namely Tisha CNC Engineering Works, Neo Instruments, Solanki Machinery Works, Era Corporation, Quantum Equipment and Accjet Solutions.

Three companies from Italy such as JTE, Fasti and Omper while three from Turkey- Otek, Ortek and Guvenis Jewelery Mold and Machine will exhibit their machineries.

Fischer of Germany and Do IT Industries of China will also participate in the exhibition.

Five organisations are participating from Bangladesh -- Dreams Instrument Technology, Bangladesh Scientific Instrument Company, Expert Instruments, Trust, Rarts BD.

The exposition will remain open for the visitors from 11.0 am to 7.0 pm each day.
