Jiban Bima Corporation (JBC) has paid tribute to valiant freedom fighter Shaheed Captain Sheikh Kamal on his 74th birth anniversary.
The JBC officials placed floral wreaths at Sheikh Kamal’s portrait on the premises of Dhanmondi Abahani Club on Saturday.
At the time, the corporation’s Chairman Asadul Islam and Managing Director Mizanul Huq Chowdhury along with officials and employees were present.
A team of JBC employees union, led by its senior vice president Mohammad Zakir Hossain, and members of Bangabandhu Parishad, led by its president and general secretary, also placed wreaths at Sheikh Kamal’s portrait in the morning.
Later, a discussion on the life and activities of Sheikh Kamal was arranged around 11:30 am at the headquarters of JBC, with MD Mizanul Huq Chowdhury in the chair.
Chairman Asadul Islam spoke on the occasion as the chief guest, while Additional Secretary of Financial Institutions Division Amal Krishna Mandal was the special guest.
Other speakers included AKMA Awal, Sheikh Khairuzzaman, Mohammad Faruq Hossain, manager PRD Md Mizanur Rahman, Md Lutfar Rahman, and Mohammad Zakir Hossain of employees union.
