K M Saidur new CEO of Asia Pacific Insurance

K M Saidur Rahman has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asia Pacific General Insurance Company Limited. He was appointed as per the approval of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) on the recommendation of the company’s board of directors. He has been serving as the chief executive officer of the company since August 14, says a press release.

Mr Rahman served as the Chief Executive Officer of Express Insurance for 15 years.  Later, he served as the Chief Consultant to Prime Insurance Company Limited. He most recently joined Asia Pacific General Insurance as Chief Executive Officer.  Graduated from Chittagong University with BBA and MBA in Management, K M  Saidur Rahman is a qualified Chartered Secretary and a Fellow Member (FCS) of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB). Besides, he is a faculty member of ICSB. He also works as a lecturer in training institutes of various banks. 

Trained with insurance and reinsurance, this insurance industry veteran has participated in many national and international seminars on risk management, insurance, reinsurance and impact of globalisation on local markets, anti-money laundering etc. He is a member of the association related to the Chief Executive Officers serving in the insurance sector. He is also a lifetime member of Dhaka based Chattogram Samiti and Patiya Samiti and a member of Chittagong University Alumni Association and the alumni association of Management Department of the same university.
