LGED workshop on 'City Governance Project'

An inception workshop on 'Urban Development and City Governance Project (UDCGP)' under the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) was held at the LGED Headquarters in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Sk. Md. Mohsin, Chief Engineer of LGED, presided over the workshop, says a press release.

The project, funded by JICA and the government of Bangladesh, will be implemented in Gazipur, Narayanganj, Cumilla city corporation and Cox's Bazar Pourashava.

LGED Chief Engineer Sk. Md. Mohsin advised all the project officials to implement the project with appropriate measure and care.

Raymund Garcia Go, Team Leader of the consultancy services of the project, presented the inception report highlighting the scope, goal, objectives and action plan of the

project.

Representatives and Local Government Expert of JICA Bangladesh office HIROKI Watanabe expressed his high hope to build a 'Sonar Bangla' soon with the joint efforts of JICA and Bangladesh.
