Mercantile Bank donates to SWAC

Mercantile Bank PLC donated Tk 0.5 million (5.00 lac) to the Society for the Welfare of Autistic Children (SWAC).

The bank’s Company Secretary Abu Asghar G Haruni handed over the cheque to SWAC Chairperson Subarna Chakma on Thursday at the SWAC’s Head Office in Dhaka, according to a media release.

Shamim Ahmed, SVP and Head of Credit Risk Management Division and Sustainable Finance Unit, Md Mukitul Kabir, Vice President and Head of Corporate Affairs Division of the bank were present along with other senior officials from both organisations.

Mercantile Bank PLC donates each year to SWAC as part of the corporate social responsibility of the bank.
